After five years in cub scouts, moving up from Tiger, to Bear, to Wolf, the Webelo, I've now crossed over to Troop 706 in Columbia, Missouri. I'm the only scout from our pack to cross to Troop 706, so I know no in the Troop.
Tonight, our patrol came together. We have seven of us, and I know only the friend I convinced to join boy scouts when I crossed over. He's not been in scouts before, but that doesn't matter, two of the boys in my patrol have never been scouts before either. I was elected Patrol Leader and I'm not sure exactly what that means, other than I have to make sure my patrol knows what's going on for meetings, activities and camp outs. I think I'll figure it out though.
We have our first camping trip in two weeks. It will be our first camp out as a patrol with the troop, and the first time I've camped without one of my parents with me. It's going to be cold.
